The European Union and Vitens Evides have invested about 0.67 million euros over the last four years in strengthening the capacity of Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company. This was an effort to meet Kenya’s water and sanitation needs

So as to mark the closure of the project dubbed Partnerships for Capacity Building in Sustainable infrastructure in Kisumu Kenya, the partners held a symposium on 18th November that brought together stakeholders in the water sector in Kisumu to deliberate on the achievements of the project and provide a platform where partners in the water sector can share plans and learn.

While speaking at the symposium, Mr Adriaan Mels, Vitens Evides International Regional Director Africa commended KIWASCO for their continued commitment in implementing the project. Sanne Williams, Programme Manager Infrastructure EU Delegation to Kenya also applauded the company on the outcome of the project as most effort came from KIWASCO and promised a continued working relationship in implementing more projects on the same. The MD KIWASCO, Eng David Onyango undoubtedly noted the success of the project and expressed his gratitude to the partners
