METER TEST-BENCH FACILITY GETS COMMISSIONED

The meter test-bench facility was commissioned on 16th December 2016 by Prof Barack Abonyo, CEC Water, Environment and Natural Resources in Kisumu County. This test bench is a state of the art equipment that uses automation for testing meters. Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company recognizes that accuracy of the meter is very important. Holding this is as a key factor in our operations, there was need to acquire this modern facility to improve our efficiency.

Areas in which the test bench will be useful is Non-Revenue Water management where all the meters will now register accurate readings. The test bench will also aid in quick and accurate handling of billing complaints arising from faulty meters and quality assurance for newly supplied meters.

In his address, Prof Abonyo declared that KIWASCO is a company to emulate. He continued to say that true to our vision, the company has continually worked towards being the most admired services provider. He challenged the staff and management of KIWASCO not to be derailed by unnecessary politics that can take up their man-hours and make the company lose its productivity. Instead, they should focus only on those issues which spur growth and development to the company.
