Sports, a talents search & team building strategy

Kisumu Water and Sanitation Company Limited held its second internal sports day.  It boasts of having taken the competitions to the next level when it involved for the first-time other sports clubs within Kisumu.

Through sports, KIWASCO staff members have progressively built a deeper and unique understanding of each other, creating a cohesive team which maximizes the output of the utility. This can be attributed to the close and personal sharing of ideas through networking of members across various departments during the training sessions.

The social capital of staff members has also been enhanced as it is through the informal interactions during training sessions that the latent potential of staff members come out. The bi-annual sports bonanza provides a great opportunity for staff to showcase their talent. Moreover, through these activities, the company relates with their customers to maintain a positive rapport with them.

KIWASCO will for the first time also take part in the Water Companies Sports Organization (WASCO) Competitions in August from 20th with an eye of winning garnering titles from all the sports categories that is ball games and choir competitions. The competitions will be hosted by Embu Water and Sanitation company.
