The license was issued by the Regulator, Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB), having met all the license conditions. KIWASCO is now referred to as a Commercially Viable Water Service Provider Ref No. WASREB/LSA/1LIC/80. Eight years is the maximum period a Water Service Provider can be issued with an operating license making this a big achievement for Kiwasco fraternity.

Receiving this license comes with a number of advantages that include; Operation upto the year 2030 without going through the rigorous process of license renewal. It also positions the company as commercially viable entity hence increases the chances of access to commercial financing, public private partnerships (PPP) and donor partnerships. It also gives us ample time to implement all the approved water and sanitation projects in the said period.
